THE PROVIDENT BANK FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES 2020 GRANT OPPORTUNITIES FOLLOWING A NOTEWORTHY YEAR
MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY (December 17, 2019) - The Provident Bank Foundation (PBF) is thrilled to announce its grant opportunities for the upcoming year. 2019 was one of the most impactful years for the Foundation, with $1.3 million of total funding granted to 138 organizations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Foundation is honored to create more opportunities in 2020 to forward sustainable change in its local communities.
Letters of Intent (LOIs) will be available on the Foundation’s website on January 2, 2020, for Signature Grants and the first cycle of Major Grants. Applications will also be accepted for Community Grants beginning January 2.
Funding Amounts
For 2020, the Foundation’s board has once again approved three $100,000 Signature Grants—one for each funding priority area. Major Grants will provide funding between $5,000 and $25,000, and Community Grants of $1,000 - $5,000 will continue to be reviewed on a rolling basis.
All grants will be used to help fund organizations within the Foundation’s three priority areas:
- Community Enrichment: Programs that drive economic development, contribute to a more well-rounded community experience, serve those with special needs, and provide increased access to information and culture.
- Education: Innovative programming that expands access to, and improves the quality of, well-rounded educational experiences through strong academic support and curriculum development.
- Health, Youth & Families: Programs that ensure people of all ages and means have the ability to live healthier, more fulfilling lives, including access to quality healthcare, nutrition and wellness, and mentorship opportunities.
“On the heels of the substantial funding we were able to provide in 2019, we’re thrilled to announce the next year of funding opportunities,” said Jane Kurek, Executive Director of The Provident Bank Foundation. “So many organizations work tirelessly to make a real difference in our communities—and we are proud to play a part in that.”
