MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY (April 28, 2020) — The Provident Bank Foundation (PBF) announced it has named Samantha Plotino Executive Director. Plotino has worked with the Foundation since 2017 and previously served as Associate Executive Director. She takes over the role from Jane Kurek, who retired earlier this year.

“Samantha has played an integral part in the Foundation’s success and we are confident that she will continue to do so as she takes the helm as Executive Director,” said Chris Martin, CEO, Provident Bank. “Her leadership across the organization will no doubt be supportive and very beneficial to our grant recipients as well as the Foundation team.”

In this position, Plotino will lead the Foundation’s grant program that totals more than $1 million in annual giving across communities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Foundation awards grants in three priority areas: Community Enrichment, Education, and Health, Youth & Families.

Plotino’s career has spanned the non-profit sector, from social service to higher education. Prior to the Foundation, Plotino worked as the Mission Based Manager for YWCA Northern New Jersey in Hackensack, NJ, where she was responsible for coordinating programs and special events focused on women’s empowerment, youth leadership development, and racial justice and civil rights. She also formerly worked for Fairleigh Dickinson University at the Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, NJ, in the School of Administrative Science and the International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Plotino is an alumna of AmeriCorps, serving for two years in communications and development at Extra Special People, Inc., a non-profit organization in Georgia that provides opportunities for children and young adults with developmental disabilities to thrive.
